Blue toilet wins 3rd place of the People's Vote - Designs of the Year 2015
2016-04-13 Visitors to Designs of the Year 2015 of the Design Museum London were invited to vote for their favourite project. The 3rd place (1,864 votes) goes to the Blue Diversion Toilet, a sanitation system for those who are off the grid, designed by EOOS, Austria with Eawag, Switzerland. The Blue Diversion toilet was exhibited in the Museum from March 2015 to March 2016. Find more about the current exhibitions of the toilet here. |

London's Design Museum displays the Blue Toilet
2015-05-15 The Blue Toilet is part of the current “Designs of the Year 2015” exhibit at London’s Design Museum. This exhibit highlights the most innovative, interesting and forward-looking design of all kinds, from around the world. In its 8th year, 76 nominees were nominated within over six categories . We are not among the winners but anyway proud to present the toilet in one of the most outstanding design museums in the world. Moreover the toilet is in the 3rd place of the visitors most liked displays. It can be visited in London from March 25th 2015 to March 31th 2016. |

Diverson exhibited in Vienna
2015-01-28 Come and visit the Blue Diversion toilet in Vienna, Austria, in the designforum - Design Discourse Austria-South Africa - from the 30.01.-08.03.2015 and in the Design Labor of the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) from the 28.01.-17.05.2015. The MAK DESIGN LAB is a recent design project by EOOS, the designers that are responsible for `the look´ of the blue toilet. The lab is both showcase and exhibition and provides the context for this retrospective show laid out in the form of a narrative `parcourse´ of exhibits. |

Exhibition: The Blue Diversion Toilet at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition, la Biennale di Venezia, Italy
2014-05-23 The Blue Diversion Toilet will be exhibited at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition, entitled Fundamentals, directed by Rem Koolhaas and organized by la Biennale di Venezia, chaired by Paolo Baratta. Fundamentals consists of three interlocking exhibitions - Absorbing Modernity 1914-2014, Elements of Architecture and Monditalia – that together illuminate the past, present and future of architecture. The Blue Diversion Toilet will be showcased in Elements of Architecture. This exhibition, located in the Central Pavilion, will pay close attention to the fundamentals of buildings, used by any architect, anywhere, anytime: the floor, the wall, the ceiling, the roof, the door, the window, the façade, the balcony, the corridor, the fireplace,… and the toilet. Publication: A Collection of Contemporary Toilet Designs
2014-05-19 We are happy to announce that Loughborough University published parts of EOOS documentation of contemporary toilet designs. To download your free copy of "A Collection of Contemporary Toilet Designs" click here. Alongside the RTTC, EOOS had started to collect information relating to the design of its Blue Diversion Toilet as well as other toilet designs. The information was initially gathered together in a research log, which, although not a project with an encyclopaedic scientific focus, provided insight into new and innovative ways of addressing global sanitation issues. |
